Rose of Sangiovese

Rose of Sangiovese

$28.00

Found throughout Italy where it is most famous as the grape of Chianti, the red Sangiovese grape also makes a great rosé, as the Italians know very well; they make a tremendous amount of it there. Here in Temecula, Sangiovese also makes a wonderful rosé, and 2021 marks the inaugural vintage of this wine from our own estate fruit. We know you’re going to fall in love with this rosé and look forward to a new tradition of this Thornton estate wine.

Aroma: Intense strawberry with light cherries, and light allspice.
Palate: Strawberry, cherry, and raspberry with medium acidity and a barely perceptible hint of sweetness that finishes fruity and clean.
Pairing: Rosés pair with virtually anything, and this barely off-dry wine will be delicious with many cheeses, appetizers, salads, grilled fish and seafood, light white meats, and fresh fruit desserts.
